My Approach
With over three decades of experience transforming sound into art, I help artists achieve sonic excellence by delivering exceptional sound that honors the artist's vision.​

My unique background combines music theory, composition, and psychology for expansive comprehension of both the technical as well as the distinctly human aspects of creating stunning sonic experiences.

Colleagues and clients have given me the title of "pitch correction wizard," and now I'm turning my attention to mixing in immersive Dolby ATMOS.
Early days of Protools
My Journey
The Early Years
​​It began in1989 when a friend got a Tascam 4 track cassette tape recorder that I used (and abused) as often as I could, recording myself and others. Then in 1992, I upgraded significantly -- to an 8-track ADAT.
Formal Education
UNT - Jazz school
After a brief stint in business school, I attended University of North Texas Jazz school as a composition and psychology major. In 2001, I got the Digi 001 and Pro Tools from Avid and couldn't stop recording music.
The Bands
The Four, Elephant M
Founded a band in Denton (The Four Band), moved to Austin; the band broke up. Formed another band (Elephant M.).
Went back to school for Audio Engineering at TRCOA and have been working professionally as an audio engineer ever since.
Present Day
Teaching Audio Engineering at TRCOA for over a decade has honed my skills as a mixing and tracking engineer.

I've also developed a working relationship with the legendary, award-winning Tim Palmer as pitch corrector and vocal producer for many major label artists.
​
In 2024 I was accepted into the Recording Academy as a Grammy Voting Member and joined the Grammy Education Committee.
